As Sanford Firefighters, we are proudly dedicated to the protection of lives and property in the City of Sanford and local areas we respond to for mutual aid. Established in 1873, we have a long-standing history that is rich in culture and tradition! Our professional Firefighters serve the public from our three stations located throughout the city with three ambulances (rescues), three engines, a tower, urban search, and rescue team, dive team, and fire boat out of Sanford Marina, as well as two jet skis, two back up ambulances, and two back up engines.  With a call volume of over 10,000 incidents per year and over 18,000 unit responses per year, Sanford Firefighters boast some of the busiest units in Seminole County. In a rapidly growing city and county, we are striving every day to continue to do what is necessary to provide the best possible services to the public!

The IAFF Center of Excellence for Behavioral Health Treatment and Recovery is a one-of-a-kind addiction treatment facility specializing in PTSD for IAFF members – and IAFF members only – who are struggling with addiction, PTSD other related behavioral health challenges to receive the help they need in taking the first steps toward recovery. It is a safe haven for members to talk with other members who have faced or overcome similar challenges.
